Sony Xperia U can now be updated to CyanogenMod 9 (CM9), thanks to the efforts of FreeXperia (FXP) Team. The Xperia U is expected to get the next version of CM, the CM10 as soon as the company rolls out the official Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update to the device.

This ROM is said to have few bugs in regard to video recorder, A2DP, FMRadio and more. The Xperia U users who wish to install this ROM on Xperia U can check this tutorial, but IBTimes UK will not be held responsible for any damage that might occur in your device.
